Join us at BCIT’s Zero Energy Buildings Lab for an interactive session on best practice for electrical panel sizing and design for load management.
Course Overview:
This session builds on HAVAN’s Growing Demand: Electrification and Load Calculations course by exploring how thoughtful design and sequencing allow builders to keep a modest main electrical service size, even when going fully electric — in both retrofit and new construction contexts. Using real-world examples from Burnaby, North Vancouver, and beyond, participants will examine key considerations for retrofitting existing homes and planning electrical systems, including integration of heat pumps, EV charging, hot water, and solar systems.
