+ OUR PROCESS

Learn our full service design build process approach to quality renovations and custom home projects throughout the Metro Vancouver area. You will understand the advantage behind having all the key people; consultants, designers, site supervisors, carpenters, trades and administrative staff under one roof, and how our detailed planning through design enables a successful experience in construction. What we do at TQ will improve your home and your quality of life. Bring us the problem, we will design and build your solution. 

Your experience with TQ begins with a complimentary consultation at your house where our consultant’s priority is to listens to your needs and wants for the home. From there, they interpret the scope of the work into a document that we call an "Assessment". You will see what is possible to achieve and receive a ballpark price for the project at different levels of investment. If you are comfortable with the "Assessment", you will begin a Design Services Agreement. 

+ ENVISION PHASE

Your designer develops concepts for you to see how your home will come to life. When developing the concepts, how you live in the home is a key point of consideration. The design not only presents style and trends, but sets out to optimize livability, while keeping within the parameters of budget identified in the assessment. The chosen concept allows the scope to be finalized so that we are able to create preliminary drawings and a detailed construction estimate, and you are able to confidently enter into either a fixed price or cost plus agreement for TQ to build your home.

+ DESIGN PHASE

Once there is a contract for construction between us, your designer can begin to create the remainder of the drawings and documents for the chosen concept. This package contains everything necessary to build your home; floor plans, elevations, spec documents, section drawings and renderings if applicable, and is required for submission to the city to obtain permitting.

+ BUILD PHASE

Design and planning personnel have integrated their efforts in best preparation for the construction crew. From here out, the build is taken care of by a team of skilled trades, who maintain constant communication with the designer to ensure that the project is executed as it was planned. You are kept in the know about what is happening along the way, and guaranteed a home built to top quality. Your house holds a warranty, but your entire experience comes with a promise of dedicated client service.
