The BC Energy Step Code puts British Columbia on a path to meet the province’s target that all new buildings must be “net-zero energy ready” by 2032. With the recent and future changes in the industry, education is more crucial than ever for both industry veterans and the younger generation entering into construction to build their future careers. Presented by HAVAN's Women's Council, join us at the 2022 spring Industry Tour hosted by BCIT, to learn about the tools and technology, and connect with the experts to be part of the change.

Tour highlights

• The BCIT High Performance Building Lab is the first of its kind in Canada. It has been developed in partnership with BC Housing, BC Hydro, Vancity, the Real Estate Foundation of BC and FortisBC, and many industry partners in order to provide hands-on training in zero energy buildings using an envelope-first approach. With three integrated zones, the lab creates space for education that will elevate the state of practice of high performance buildings in BC.
