Course Overview:

Step inside the completed Phoenix House for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. Now fully built and lived in, this home offers a rare look at how design, performance, and real life come together.

Hear directly from the homeowner about their experience, from vision to move-in. Interior designer Josephina will walk you through the design journey and key decisions that shaped the space. Window expert Gergely will break down why high-performance windows play a critical role in comfort, efficiency, and durability.

This is your chance to see the final result and understand what it really takes to get to build the first Zero Carbon Certified home in Canada.

Key takeaways:
  • What it’s like to live in a high-performance home, straight from the homeowner
  • How design decisions translate from concept to finished space
  • The role of interior design in balancing aesthetics and low-carbon performance
  • Why windows are critical to comfort, energy efficiency, and durability
  • Lessons learned from the full journey, from planning to move-in
  • What to consider if you want to build or design a similar home
