Course Overview:

The Zero Carbon Step Code aims at reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with operational carbon in a home. There is often confusion regarding what is and not allowed in a new home. This course aims to clarify how the Zero Carbon metrics are calculated, and specifically how it affects domestic hot water options for homes targeting Emission Levels 3 and 4. Attendees should get a sense of what options are available to them by the end of the session.

Key Learning Outcome:

The builders will learn what starting options for domestic hot water fuels are available to achieve high Zero Carbon Step Code levels, while maintaining some fuel options.

Key Takeaway:

Learn how the Zero Carbon step code is calculated; learn the about the impact of Domestic Hot Water usage in Zero Carbon Step Code; learn about domestic hot water options using both natural gas and electricity that meet high ZCSC
